My first entry. Guess I better start things off by giving a run down on who I am and where I am in life. Here goes...

Currently I'm 27 years old. I have a defacto partner and 2 children - my son is 3 years old and my daughter is under a year old. I live in one of the cheaper parts of this city - some would call our area a 'Welfare Ghetto' or at least the closest one would be in Australia.

I'm currently studying music and electronics at an adult school. Great part is I'm using training credits I earned in a 'Work for the Dole' program to build a bass amp (my old one died a couple of years ago) so this has rekindled my performing skills. As we are short on drummers I'm even filling in there. I am a bass player at heart and possibly a singer too (Ive been working at it) and I also play guitar and a little drums.

I guess my biggest dream right now would be to get a goth rock or punk (not power pop, i'm talking a REAL punk band!) band together once I've finished building my amp. I've got the skills, written heaps of songs and I have plenty of band experience so its an attainable goal.

Hobbies right now include playing Magic, poker and computer stuff. I also listen to music when I can but I don't tend to keep tabs on the new stuff. My music collection is mostly goth, punk and 80s stuff with some industrial and more traditional rock stuff thrown in. My favorite band right now is Rammstein and has been for the past couple of years. Mutter was a fantastic album and I consider it to be their best.

Now the down side...

My son is autistic. We are finally getting some assistance for his condition/behaviour but progress is slow. At least we are moving in the right direction though. My daughter has had many problems due to her lack of growth. We've had to put her onto a new baby formula and it causes her face to come out in scabs and rashes. Often we find her screaming with a face covered in blood from scratching at her face. While her life isn't in danger yet we are still vigilant and the doctors still can't explain what is wrong with her.

As you can see my freedom is practically zero with 2 children who have special needs. The last time I dressed up and went out was almost 6 months ago (got my most recent tattoo that night too - I may post pics of them later). It also doesn't help that my partner doesn't drink or smoke. It seems I'm having fun but she isn't. How ironic that we met while I was wasted at Karaoke one night.
